Formed in 1975, the North Haven Historical Society is an educational non-profit organization on North Haven Island in Maine’s Penobscot Bay. Their facilities include an archive center, research library, and museum with exhibits dedicated to the island’s history.
The North Haven Library is an independent, not for profit institution on North Haven Island, Maine. Incorporated in 1898 they are one of the oldest organizations on the Island.
North Haven Conservation Partners (NHCP) is a community based, community supported land conservation, non-profit dedicated to conserving property on and around North Haven for the benefit of this unique island community and its guests.
Located on the island of North Haven, one of the Fox Islands in Midcoast Maine, Southern Harbor House was founded on the belief that elders should remain part of their community.
Waterman’s Community Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on the beautiful island of North Haven, ME located 12 miles out in Penobscot Bay. Waterman’s Community Center includes a 134-seat theater, state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, a large community room for events and art exhibits, a coffee shop, classrooms for the Laugh & Learn Preschool programs and meeting space.
North Haven Sustainable Housing
North Haven Sustainable Housing is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to providing affordable year-round housing for the residents of North Haven Island.
North Haven Community School (NHCS) is a self-contained K-12 school and the only educational institution within Maine School Administrative District # 7. NHCS is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and one of only a handful of public K-12 schools in New England to achieve that distinction.
